NEW PROPOSED JUVENILE COURT RULES
7/21/2026 - The Ashland County Court of Common Pleas, Juvenile Division, has drafted proposed new rules to become effective September 1, 2026. The proposed rules can be accessed using the link below. The Court will accept comments regarding the proposed rules until August 15, 2026.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT DOCUMENTS FILED WITH THE COURT
Effective immediately, the Court WILL NOT accept double-sided pleadings. Additionally, ALL DOCUMENTS filed with the Court must be accompanied by a pleading with a complete case caption, the case number, a description of the document being filed and why it is being filed with the Court, and the signature of counsel, or the party, if unrepresented by counsel, and a certificate of service, if required by law. Pleadings which do not conform to this instruction may be rejected for filing with the Court.
Notice Regarding Courthouse Security Screening
Effective October 1, 2024, all persons entering the Courthouse at 142 West Second Street, Ashland, Ohio shall do so by using the RAMP ENTRANCE located on 3rd Street (backside of the Courthouse. All persons, purses/bags and packages entering the Courthouse are subject to security screening by the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for parking and entry into the Courthouse.
